Crown Heights 2020 is a collection of community-minded businesses and nonprofits that work to advance a spirit of neighborhood unity and integrity. We aim to create places that invite literary and artistic activity, and offer exciting green spaces among gray concrete streets. Above all our enterprises practice a radical friendliness to create warm environments where are all welcome and friendships and community ties are created and grown.

At Crown Heights 2020, we mean to build a culture of inclusion.

We want our businesses to reflect the neighborhoods of which they are a part. This means that we hope for applications from locals, regardless of their personal history, education level, financial status, race, sexual orientation or gender identity.

We have high hopes for our own businesess, and likewise hope to cultivate working environments that can provide professional growth opportunities for people of all backgrounds.

For these reasons we strongly encourage applications from women, people of color, veterans, individuals with disabilities, immigrants, formerly incarcerated folks, and members of any marginalized community.

In partnership with Seedco and Reconnect Brooklyn, we hire and promotes a diverse set of employees from within the communities in which our stores are located. We are committed to creating high-paying careers and developing our corporate culture from the energy, smarts, friendliness and love our employees bring to their work.

CH2020 is the brainchild of neighborhood resident Michael de Zayas. Reach out to him here to collaborate!
